2008-09 Winter Barefoot Running
 

Highlights

• Location - Kansas City, Missouri USA

• Ran 25 days in snow or ice (average depth - 2 inches).

• Ran every day outside (except two days on the treadmill when the snow was up to my knees!)

• Coldest barefoot run to date - 6 degrees F!

• Average Temperature - mid 20s F

My resistance to cold weather continues to improve year after year. I have not had a reoccurrence of frostbite in several years. (Hint: Stay out of wet, road-treated puddles caused by sodium chloride melting. These are very caustic and create a numbing sensation very quickly.)
